The Society for Scientific Exploration, or SSE, is a group committed to studying "edge science". The society's magazine, the Journal of Scientific Exploration, was established to provide a scientific forum for ufology, parapsychology, and cryptozoology having published research articles, essays, book reviews and letters on those and many other topics that are largely ignored in mainstream journals.

P.S. Some skeptics have defaced the SSE wiki page with more of their ridiculous criticisms. According to these people, the SSE has a “hidden agenda”, and that they ignore evidence that contradicts what they want to believe. Any body who knows anything about the SSE knows that this is not true. They routinely debunk and reject unwarranted material. This is yet another bad attempt by the fanaticals to disparage topics that they themselves are ideologically opposed to.
