I was listening to the Led Zeppelin song Stairway to Heaven today, which seems to be about a lady who tries to buy a stairway to heaven instead of following her inner Holy Spirit. ( At least that's what I get out of the lyrics).  It reminded me of when people give their savings to televangelists. It may be happening on more of a subconscious level, but deep down, I suspect such Christians are trying to buy their stairway to heaven.
